Here are some of the questions we are asked most often:
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, new patients are welcome.
We suggest you dress in loose, comfortable clothing. You will not necessarily disrobe for your treatment.
Is my Treatment covered by OHIP?
Your treatment is NOT covered by OHIP. It may be covered by your extended health benefits plan.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to come and see you?
No, you do not need a referral from a doctor to make an appointment at our clinic.
Do I need a doctor’s note for my extended health insurance?
Some insurance companies require a doctor’s note. Please check your extended health benefits plan to see how much coverage you have and whether or not you need a note from your doctor.
Do you direct bill my insurance company?
No, we do not direct bill insurance companies. You will receive a receipt for your paid treatment which you can then submit to your insurance company.
I am a a veteran. Do you bill directly to Veterans Affairs?
Yes, once we have confirmed your benefits, we will directly bill Veterans Affairs for the portion they cover. If they do not cover the full portion of payment, you will be required to pay the difference.
Yes, we accept debit cards and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Should I get a treatment by my chiropractor/physiotherapist/massage therapist etc. the same day as I receive osteopathic manual treatment?
In most cases, it is better to avoid too many treatments on the same day.
How long is the first appointment? How long is a typical appointment? Can I just get a half hour?
The first appointment is generally one hour or slightly more. In the first appointment you will discuss history, and you will be assessed and treated. A follow up appointment is also typically one hour, although in some instances a half hour is all that is needed.
The therapist I usually see is booked. Can I see someone else at your clinic?
Yes, you can!
My insurance company wants to know what associations you belong to?
